Most credentialed genealogists I know are skilled, careful, and underutilized — not because clients don't exist, but because the work of qualifying clients eats the hours that should be billable. Most prospective clients I know spend weeks trying to figure out which researcher fits their question, because credential directories list everyone equally, and major firms price for their internal overhead. The Genealogy Co-op is built to solve both ends of that problem at once: a fractional research director on the practitioner side, and an editorial filter on the client side. I built it because the field needed a fourth option besides directories, firms, and personal referrals.
